Her work interests include diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia, but particularly enjoys training and assessing the veterinary nurses of the future which she finds very rewarding and satisfying. Out of work and to help relieve stress away from the busy surgery, Lucy loves riding a stunning Thoroughbred cross Cleveland horse called Maisie and is an active member of the Bath Riding Club. At home, Lucy has two very naughty tortoiseshell cats called Honey and Toffee, which she rescued as kittens.

Lucy was born and bred in sunny Wiltshire. From a very young age she always wanted to be a veterinary nurse and this ambition was fulfilled when she qualified in 1995 and has been working in general practice ever since. Lucy joined the Thameswood team in November 2006 as Head Nurse and training practice assessor.
